In depth

Verdict

SA SUFFIT should be capable of giving weight and a beating to this opposition although he doesn't have all that much in hand of Fit To Drive on official figures and Mr Gerrard is of interest on his chase bow. James Ewart's charge has shown a consistent level of form this season over a variety of distances. His latest effort saw him run Scottish Grand National fancy Chief Dan George close over two miles seven but his victory on his penultimate start was achieved over an extended two miles. This stiff finish should ensure that this is a stiff enough test and he could outclass the opposition. Fit To Drive deserves to gain another success but she is probably flattered by her official rating and may have to settle for a minor role once again. General Ledger is open to improvement but has plenty to prove as does Mr Gerrard following three modest runs in bumpers but this Irish point-to-point winner may prove to be a different proposition now jumping obstacles. The selection sets a fair standard though and Sa Suffit should be good enough.
