Not the strongest of handicap chases and it may fall to Cardinal Mark, with Junes's River and Charming Admiral the likely dangers. Sue Smith's gelding is lightly raced this season but looked to be returning to somewhere near his best when third behind Native Eire at Sedgefield last month. With improvement expected he should be capable of beating this modest bunch. June's River disappointed at Leicester last time but is better judged on his previous effort when second to All Sonsilver, who gave the form a boost with another victory last week. Charming Admiral is improving with each outing and if reproducing his recent Wetherby running behind Cedar Green he will be a threat to all. Top-weight Hades de Siene is also running well at present and should be in the shake up , however Cardinal Mark should be spot on for this and is taken to land the spoils.
