Dream Express has been in good form for Michael Dods this season, was good value for his second win of the campaign at Catterick last month and he is taken to defy the 4lb rise for that success with the main dangers rated as Horatio Carter and Prince Hamlet. The last mentioned is less exposed than most of these after just seven career starts and Bryan Smart's gelding should appreciate the return to this trip having been outpaced over six furlongs last time. Andrew Balding has his team in good from but Transfer looks too high in the weights judged by his two runs in a handicap so far. Alan Swinbank's Kashimin disappointed at Haydock last time on testing ground but had run well at the same venue previously and he could be of interest stepping up to seven furlongs for the first time. San Jose City has run well in his last two starts and should be thereabouts again but he could probably do with some help from the handicapper and a bigger threat is likely to come from Horatio Carter, who has run to a consistent level of form of late. Dream Express has solid claims on recent form though and he gets the vote to follow up his recent Catterick success.
