Donald Whillans’ mare looks to have a leading chance having finished runner-up in testing ground at Ayr in a qualifying event for this when three lengths ahead of Wide Awake. The latter had earlier finished second at Sedgefield where Black Tulip was well beaten so the form looks solid enough. Our Valentina also finished behind the selection at Ayr while both Minnie Milan and Theatre Act have plenty to find with Wide Awake on Sedgefield running.
