        Verdict

        Tico Times revealed dramatic improvement last month at Sedgefield when sticking on well to oblige on a first start since wind surgery, prior to which he'd been well beaten on his previous four starts for his current yard. It may also be that fences will be the making of him and he certainly rates shortlist material off a fair mark. Interestingly, BIRD ON THE WIRE has an almost identical record - including wind surgery - over his last five starts, also for a new yard. His Catterick runner-up effort reads as the slightly better form and he gets the nod in receipt of 4lb. Calix Delafayette gives the impression he could well appreciate the step up in trip whilst Holme Abbey remains relatively unexposed and looks the sort to improve going over fences for Nicky Richards.
