Christmas Truce, Zinging and Asaateel are the three for the shortlist here and Christmas Truce is taken to follow up a good win last time. Christmas Truce showed a return to form last time at the track and won with some authority. He steps up in trip here but can handle that difference in distance and can follow up. Asaateel has won once, scoring in April last year, and has shown little form since until recently. He was unlucky to be nailed right on the post at Newmarket in an amateur riders' contest last time but it is sometimes unwise to take that type of form literally and he is passed over. Zinging is another intriguing runner. He had shown little form of late until springing a surprise here last time in an apprentice contest. That was a fair effort but it remains to be seen how good a race that was. Christmas Truce is taken to score again.
