Dual course and distance winner, Princess Lexi, displayed a pleasing attitude when a decisive scorer here last time and clearly enjoys her trips to the coastal air. She was just under four lengths clear of Eastern Gift, a fine servant for the Gay Kelleway team, but there should be little between them now with the latter 7lb better off. Therefore, the choice falls upon AVISO who has shown improved form the last twice, notably when finishing a useful third behind El Libertador. This could be the right time to catch him. Prince Of Thebes is tumbling down the weights but he does seem to reserve his best for an artificial surface these days.
