Several of Gordon Elliott's team have multiple entries here this week and Plan A was engaged to run in a handicap yesterday. He would certainly be one for the short-list if turning out in this instead but it may be significant that his trainer has also declared SOUNDS OF THUNDER. The four-year-old is progressing nicely over hurdles, winning at Tramore earlier this month, and ran a nice race on the level at Dundalk recently. Renard D'Irlande has got his act together now, winning his last two starts at Folkestone. Venetia Williams' French import is preferred to Carlisle runner-up Bow Badger and easy Newcastle winner Rumble Of Thunder, though would probably prefer more give in the ground.
