Verdict
A trappy maiden gets proceedings underway and as usual in these events the market will be very informative but the principals look to be Brenin Taran, Entrancer and Smokey Storm and the tentative vote is given to the last named. The selection was a fair fourth behind Bonnie Charlie last time out despite running green and with improvement likely he looks the one to be on. Entrancer rates the main danger as he was also fourth on his debut behind Baycat. He is also likely to improve but he is bred to be suited by a longer trip in time. Brenin Taran is another that ran with promise on his debut on his fourth behind Art Connoisseur and is another with place claims. Of the remainder, Taurus Twins hails from a yard that can ready a newcomer but in a race where the market may well tell all for the winner we return to Smokey Storm.
