In depth

Verdict

ITALIAN TOM, proven on soft ground, can follow up a recent Sandown win. Trained by Ron Harris, the selection sprang a surprise at Sandown when scoring at 33/1. His penalty takes him back up to a testing mark but in a race where many might not enjoy the ground at least we know he runs well on it. Diamond Johnny G was a long way behind him last time so a bigger threat could be Humidor who is consistent if not massively well-handicapped. Starwatch is another to set your watch by and is of more interest, despite the drop in trip, than Annia Galeria who beat nothing of note at Wolverhampton. Angel Of Fashion bumped into a well-handicapped Barney Curley horse at Yarmouth and is not one to discount off this mark of 60.
