Eidsfoss is from a yard in form and looks the percentage call here with Baileys Applause and Von Wessex the others to form the shortlist. The selection is well-bred and Neville Callaghan's horses are in sparkling form at present, and with the booking of Darryll Holland catching the eye he is taken to score on his racecourse bow. Baileys Applause was a little disappointing when last seen out at Newmarket's July meeting and although this looks easier than that assignment, she looks to have gone backwards since making a pleasing racecourse debut. Von Wessex is another that seems to have regressed but a return to this faster surface may help to bring about some improvement and if he could anywhere near his best form he would be a danger to all. Of the remainder, Alzarma is from a shrewd yard and has the services of Ryan Moore who has a fine strike-rate at this track, so he is worth noting in the market, but for the winner we return to Eidsfoss.
