This maiden shouldn't take a great deal of winning so we'll take a chance that TERTIARY can continue Godolphin's excellent record with their debutants while Henry Cecil's Athenian Garden was promising enough on debut to suggest a challenge and Activate could also feature. A half brother to the high-class Anabaa Blue, the selection will probably want further than this trip in time but this looks a decent level of introduction and if running up to that impressive bloodline should be the one to beat. Athenian Garden should benefit for this slight step up in trip after looking a little one paced at Wolverhampton on debut. There was enough promise in that run to suggest more should be forthcoming so any market support for this one would be interesting. Activate improved from first run to second to beat home a subsequent winner when halfway down a big field at Chepstow last time. As a son of Motivator he'll appreciate a bigger stamina test in time but for now this looks right.
