      Verdict

Global Goddess went close at Lingfield in January but that was back in maiden company and DARK POET is preferred. The latter has something to prove over today’s trip but posted a much better effort over 6f at Chepstow on his handicap debut having been gelded and Clive Cox’ charge is taken to confirm latest running with Frea. Tarrzan was placed here last time though has yet to race over this far but Shug stays the distance and connections will be hoping a change of headgear brings improvement.
