Who's Winning is our pick with Banjo Patterson and Seneschal the alternatives. Brendan Powell's charge was value for far more than the official margin suggests at the track earlier in the month and even allowing for some regression of form, he should be able to confirm terms with Cleveland, Razzano and Mannello. Banjo Patterson would rate a certainty on some of his older form. He has been stuffed out of sight in handicaps and while a drop in grade is welcone, caution is advised. Seneschal has a patchy record around Brighton. He is probably better known on the artifical surfaces these days but it is worth noting that he has five successes on turf to his name. Nashharry hasn't shown too much at Ron Harris' but was not without ability when trained by Sylvester Kirk. Fly In Johnny ran a fair second to Lancaster Lad at Bath though has failed to beat a horse home in two subsequent efforts. Billy Hot Rocks is particularly interesting on drop in grade and with Seb Sanders aboard, it would be no surprise to see Ralph Beckett's representative well supported. Pat Eddery's stable are in fair nick so watch out for Compulsion in the betting. Not a race that will be knocking the York meeting off the sports pages and Who's Winning is our pick.
