THE STRIG, a winner over course and distance in July, has been knocking on the door again lately. He's been raised a couple of pounds since his latest second at Sandown but his ability to handle both track and going is a major plus and he must go close again. After 40 career starts, this is Warwick winner Rigoletto's first try over the minimum trip and Fairy Wing may also find this too sharp but Salisbury maiden winner Threave may have more to offer. Griffin Point was sent off favourite at Ffos Las earlier this month but was beaten a neck and is a pound higher here while Volito still appears in the handicapper's grip.
