dwelt, behind, ridden and no chance final 3f
raced keenly, tracked leader, ridden and hampered over 2f out, soon switched left, pressed leaders and upsides final furlong, not quicken near finish
dwelt, pulled hard and held up in rear, headway centre 3f out, close up 2f out, weakened over 1f out
took keen hold, in touch, ridden 3f out, held when hampered well over 1f out
behind, effort into mid-division 3f out, no impression and eased when no chance final furlong
chased leaders over 4f
dwelt, held up in touch, driven and close up 2f out, soon weakened
always prominent, led over 2f out, headed and not quicken final 100 yards
behind, headway 3f out, effort on stand rail 2f out, hung left from under pressure from over 1f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yards
led, ridden 3f out, headed over 2f out, weakened quickly
dwelt and always behind, tailed off
Another tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading fancies but the principals look to be Magic Verse, Mrs Brown and Sylva Royal and the tentative vote goes to Magic Verse. The selection won with a shade in hand at this course when defeating Caerphilly Gal over a mile last time out and although the drop in trip is a slight worry she has conditions to suit and will be hard to beat. Mrs Brown rates the main danger on her latest fourth behind Rebel Raider but she was doing all her best work at the finish so is not sure to be suited by the drop in trip so is passed over on this occasion. Sylva Royal is another worthy of respect she won well last time out when defeating Ballare on the AW at Lingfield and is open to improvement on turf so is worth noting in the market. Beauty of Dreams ran as if about to hit form when fourth behind Otago last time and is another with place claims but she would not want to much rain. Of the remainder Mr Lewin has traveled a long way to contest this race and represents shrewd connections so is another to note in the market but for the winner we return to Magic Verse.
