Prince Valentine is sure to be popular with punters here but we will side with Diamond Dan who is preferred to the other likely candidate Taranaki. The selection finished a close second behind Hadath over 1m here on Thursday. He would have won with another stride and although the drop in trip is a slight concern he looks the value call. Prince Valentine is in good form and this course and distance winner will not be far away at the finish from a good draw. Taranaki has been running consistently well but he has a poor draw and he hasn't won for over two years so he can't be backed with any confidence. Terenzium is from a top yard and is another with place claims, but for the winner we will stick with Diamond Dan.
