    Verdict

The progressive ARCTIC EMPEROR has now won both starts in handicaps. He had a subsequent winner back in third when scoring with plenty in hand at Bath last time and the hat-trick beckons for Archie Watson’s charge. Strawberry Jack also won at Bath before beaten by Buckingham at the same track while Alibaba still looks a shade high in the weights having placed at Newmarket last time. Escape is upped in trip for his handicap debut and something was amiss with stablemate Fox Power at Haydock last month.
