    Verdict

A very modest contest in which Lady Mo is just given the nod over La Puce and Bouncer. Bill Turner's charge is fairly consistent on top of the ground and she really won't get a better opportunity to break her duck than this. La Puce looked to need the drop back into plating grade after being outclassed in a decent Thirsk contest last month. It is slightly worrying though that Gaye Kelleway is yet to train a two-year-old winner this term. Bouncer was well fancied on debut but was equally disappointing when finishing twelfth of sixteen at Bath. Even Easier is locally trained but she will need to show significantly more than she has of late to land this prize.
