    Verdict

Catan ran well under a penalty at Chelmsford after winning at Ffos Las and should give another good account. Machell Place went close at Newmarket in July but disappointed last time at Yarmouth when failing to land the odds. Asian Angel and Bagatino are very interesting newcomers with the former being a half-brother to six winners including the smart Chinese White. The latter also has a nice pedigree and cost 80,000gns are a yearling but has already been gelded. STARTEGO could be a bit of value given he didn’t quite get home over a mile on heavy going at Carlisle. He’s now with a yard whose juveniles do well here. Mudeer is a likely improver and adds to the interest.
