Something went wrong with Santadelacruze last time when pulled-up at Lingfield but he'd won over 1m2f at the same track before that. It was soft ground when Cape Crossing won at Ffos Las under today's apprentice but she's only been upped 2lb for that while Mcconnell's recent win came on the Fibresand at Southwell. LIGHTNING SPIRIT had Fairy Mist back in fifth when third here to Pour La Victoire, who runs in the previous race on the card, and Gary Moore's charge gets the vote aided by an apprentice's 7lb allowance.
