In depth

Verdict

Factual Lad has gone up just 2lbs for an admittedly narrow success over course and distance in a similarly weak race last time and Rod Millman's eight-year-old is taken to follow up here at the main expense of Fantasy Crusader and Wester Lodge. The last mentioned could be of interest in first time blinkers having slipped to a decent mark and a market move for him should be noted. Tony Carroll's Fortune Point is held by the selection on running here last time and of more interest may be Brendan Powell's Take A Mile, who was not beaten far in a similar contest at Epsom last time. Will Be does not look good enough judged by his British debut at Lingfield and of more interest may be Fantasy Crusader, who has gone well off similar marks of late but probably needs dropping a few pounds. Factual Lad may not be the best handicapped horse in the world but he looks well enough treated to get the better of his rivals today.
