This is a wide open handicap in which Catbang is sure to be popular, but we will side with Samurai Jack with Kavachi the other taken to make the frame. The selection did not see out the trip at York last time and he should also be seen to better effect on this faster ground today. He has been running well in this grade and he is a token selection in a tough race for punters to call. Catbang ran well in a competitive race at Nottingham last time when just finding Prince Picasso too good. He is upped in trip today and he will not be far away at the finish. Kavachi is interesting on his handicap debut, but he has hardly set the world alight with his three efforts to date and he can't be backed with any confidence. Girardii is from a yard in decent form and he may prove best of the rest as this drop in trip will suit. However, Samurai Jack may prove the value play and as such gets our tentative vote.
