In depth

Verdict

ASHFORD ISLAND has the most recent winning form when scoring over today’s trip at Chelmsford in March. He went close again over a mile here last time and may prove good enough in this. Israfel won at Wolverhampton at the start of the year but has yet to compete on Turf and Wild Flower was placed yet again when third over track and trip 10 days ago and can race off the same mark. The Reel Way and Deftera Lad are not badly treated as both return to action and Ettie Hart has more scope than most of these.
