Most of these are old rivals and there is very little to choose between them, so only a tentative vote of confidence is given to Misaro, who just edges preference from Malapropism and Fizzlephut, while the in-form filly, Hello Roberto, cannot be ruled out despite being set to carry 6lb extra. Hello Roberto has done just enough in her races and there may well be a touch more to come. However. she has been held off this sort of mark in the past and needs everything to drop just right for her. A similar comment applies to Fizzlephut, who has been knocking on the door lately. He has gone well on an undulating surface in the past but his ability to handle the idiosyncratic of Brighton has to be taken on trust. Malapropism has hit form lately and it is a credit to his constitution that he races for the sixth time since the beginning of June. His limitations are there for all to see, though, and he will never be one for the fight hearted. One Way Ticket is also worth noting in the betting, as he will be approaching race fitness and is one to bear in mind for future reference after this. However, Misaro just gets the nod on this occasion, as he fully deserved his victory at Lingfield 10 days ago and, as a proven performer at this course, he has plenty in his favour as he bids to follow up today.
