This should not take a great deal of winning and Ghantoot is taken to improve Luca Cumani's already impressive winner at the track, with Resplendent King and Atlantic City rated the main dangers. The selection lost no caste in defeat on his handicap debut at Redcar over nine furlongs last time and, while the handicapper has seen fit to raise him 3lbs for that, there should be more to come from the lightly raced son of Inchinor. Atlantic City makes his first venture into this grade and a market move for the William Haggas-trained gelding would be of interest. Resplendent King is more exposed than most but is consistent and can be expected to run his usual game race. Philip Mitchell's Wild Pitch has claims on the form shown at Goodwood two starts ago but disappointed last time and of more interest may be the Dominic Ffrench Davis-trained Ask The Driver, who has been running well in similar company of late. Uncle John and Duke's View are others worthy of a mention but Ghantoot has an obvious chance on the strength of his last time out run and gets the vote.
