The Barry Hills-trained River Nurey is bound to be popular with backers having been placed in each of his last three starts but is becoming exposed and preference is for Du Pre, who gets the vote over Indiana Blues. The last mentioned has the highest BHB rating of these but this speedily bred filly is not certain to appreciate the step up to a mile. The John Hills-trained Carry On Doc may do better having had a couple of pipe openers, while Mick Channon's Nazzwah and the Alec Stewart-trained Eijaaz are less exposed than most and are others worthy of a mention. However, the vote goes to Du Pre. Amanda Perrett's horses are beginning to run into form right now and, with improvement anticipated for the daughter of Singspiel from her recent reappearance run, she gets the vote in a trappy contest.
