In depth

Verdict

Stormy Channel is a beautifully bred daughter of Storm Cat out of 1992 Prix du Moulin heroine All At Sea and is given the TEAMtalk vote to boost her value at stud by landing this uncompetitive affair. Henry Cecil's filly has clearly not been easy to train as she was making her belated debut last month. However, she was an encouraging runner-up behind a useful type over this trip in similar company and should improve sufficiently for the experience to make her hard to beat in this company. Bahrqueen has been placed on all three previous attempts and sets a fair standard so will be no pushover particularly under a promising 5lb apprentice. Stands To Reason is best watched following a three-month absence but Summer Stock has been acquitting himself with credit on the all-weather of late and holds place claims.
