slowly into stride, always outpaced in rear
held up in touch, driven 3f out, weakened approaching final furlong
tracked winner, challenged 3f out, soon ridden, kept on one pace
made virtually all, shaken up 2f out, soon clear, easily
raced wide, prominent, losing place when hung right 2f out, soon beaten
dwelt, towards rear, headway over 1f out, stayed on final furlong, no chance with winner
prominent, effort over 2f out, soon ridden, one pace approaching final furlong
An uncompetitive race that should take little winning and it will be surprising if the TEAMtalk preference, Finger Of Fate, does not prevail. Sir Michael Stoute's charge has progressed with experience and looked sure to land a similar event over a mile at Wolverhampton last time before being worn down in the final stride. The drop down in trip will suit and this well-bred son of Machiavellian should prove too strong for main market rival, Prima Patrona. The latter has shown a fair level of ability and is no doubt capable of further progress but looks one-paced at this trip and may have to settle for minor honours on this occasion. High-Street has been off the track for almost two months but is entitled to improve on a fair debut effort and can reach a place.
