A poor race and the token nomination goes to Blue Empire ahead of Coup D'Etat and Convince who looks the best of Milton Bradley's wee army. Conor Dore's charge comes here on the back of a poor effort at Wolverhampton but now back in more suitable company, and on quick ground, he is fancied to return to winning ways assuming that there is a fairly decent pace. Halfwaytoparadise's second last time out could be given a boost by Ten To The Dozen in the first race, whilst Cayman Breeze is a course and distance winner and could go well at a price. His stablemate Convince should go well at a track that he likes, whilst Coup D'Etat is an obvious threat. Well treated by the terms of this race, Ron Harris's son of Diktat should appreciate the drop in grade and he is one who won't mind if the rain comes. At a price Fire At Will could go well, however it is Blue Empire who gets the vote.
