Verdict

Carmel has the coveted inside berth and started favourite for a 6f event at Newbury where she only faded inside the final furlong. Harry Love looked a certain future winner when a close second at Thirsk and duly obliged on a return visit. Both runs were over 6f but this is a very stiff minimum. He holds Kayewhykelly on both of those runs while She's Easyontheeye, who was well beaten here in April, showed major improvement when beaten less than a length by a long odds-on chance at Catterick. NEVER IN RED ran very well when third at Hamilton where he had the remainder well beaten. Normal progress can see him successful here.
