Top weight Mister Fizzbomb has the form and class to land this handicap at the expense of Fossgate and Thorny Mandate. The selection did run a shade disappointingly at York last time out but if a line can drawn through that form and he is judged on his second to Birkside at Catterick he then becomes a horse to seriously consider. He has also acted around this track in the past and if he is able to recapture his form then he will take all the beating. Fossgate is only three pounds higher since winning a handicap over course and distance recently. He is not the easiest to win with but now confidence is on a high he should once again be in the shake up. Thorny Mandate has consistent form to his name and was a Chester winner last month. His mark of 56 looks a fair one that he is more than capable of winning off so he another for the short list. But for the winner we return to Mister Fizzbomb.
