The three-year-olds weight-for-age allowance can help Nobelix to continue on his merry way and he is preferred over Just Waz and Lady Karr, while Ego Trip is also in good heart and can go close off just a 3lb higher mark than he was on when he won at Ripon earlier in the month. Any cut in the ground will be ideal for the last named and a careful monitoring of the betting activities surrounding her is advised. Lady Karr hails from a yard that have bounced back from an uncharacteristic quiet spell to be amongst the winners this week. The Mark Of Esteem filly gets this trip well and can ensure that there will be no let up in the tempo in the closing stages. Lady Karr still has some filling out to do but is well regarded type that looks sure to enhance her paddocks value before too long. Just Waz appears to be getting his act together well after a slow start to the campaign and also shapes as if a race like this will come his way. However, he will find it hard to dictate the pace at this track and he will need to be at the top of his game to hold on near the finish. Therefore, we take our chances with Nobelix, who benefited from a great tracking ride from JD Smith when winning at Lingfield just over three weeks ago. Nobelix won with plenty in hand on that occasion and can prove to be too progressive for this mainly exposed bunch of rivals.
