Select Committee is in really good form but is very tricky to win with and so we will again take him on with PRINCE NAMID, while Top Bid is well drawn and can get involved. Prince Namid has a middle draw here, where of course high numbers are favoured in big fields, so we are not too badly off from a punting perspective. The gelding won over course and distance last time, getting the better of Select Committee by a head and is 2lbs worse off for that, so strictly on the book the form should be reversed. They are also drawn alongside each other, so there may well be plenty of speed down the middle, but now that Prince Namid has got the win under his belt he looks capable of making it two on the bounce. Peninsular War is open to some improvement and looks very capable off this mark of 72 and from a high enough draw, while Top Bid has a good pitch and should be suited by this stiff 5f after going very close at Doncaster last time. The ground suits and he can get heavily involved, but Prince Namid gets the nod.
