slowly into stride, always behind, tailed off final furlong
led, ridden along 3f out, was headed approaching final furlong, stayed on same pace
held up, ridden along over 4f, one pace final 2f
jumped right at start and was always rear division
towards rear, never dangerous
In touch, ridden along over 3f, hung left when weakening over 1f
towards rear, ridden along and headway over 2f , kept on same pace
bumped at start, mid-division, headway over 3f, weakened over 2f
bumped at start, held up behind leaders, headway 2f out, quickened to lead approaching final furlong, soon clear and eased close home
towards rear, chased along and headway over 2f, stayed on final furlong but never reached challenging position

Jane of Arc should be too good for her rivals here and is taken to win at the expense of Sorrento Moon and Run Free. The selection has not won since breaking her maiden tag at Thirsk over two years ago. That said she has run well in some competitive races in that space of time and she was not beaten far when finishing fourth of thirteen at Musselburgh last time out. If she can reproduce that same level of form she is sure to go very close. Sorrento Moon was a winner in this grade at Ripon last time out. She had been struggling to trouble the judge in handicaps prior to that victory but relished the drop in grade and if reproducing the same level of form she will be in the shake up once again. Run Free has to be respected after a good third in this grade at Wolverhampton recently. He is though winless in nineteen attempts and will need to produce a career best to win. So for the winner we return to Jane of Arc.
