Dear Bruin was having just her sixth start when just failing to make all the running at Lingfield so with more progress likely and just a 2lb rise to contend with she has to be on the shortlist. Space War has managed to win six times in his career including from higher marks so he shouldn't be dismissed despite a moderate latest effort at Redcar. Relight My Fire won here last July from 4lb higher so he's another to be considered despite a big weight but the vote goes to VECHEKA. Micky Hammond's horses are in good form and though the son of Lawman has yet to win he's gradually improving and showed at Catterick last time that a race of this nature should be within his capabilities. The maiden Shipwright takes a fierce hold in his races but if Joe Fanning can settle him better he's well enough handicapped to make his presence felt.
