It looks like its the right time for EMPEROR'S WELL to come good once more, while Follow The Sun and Tropical Duke can both go close. The Mick Easterby-trained selection has won three times at the track, and although he has been more of a miler over the years, he has won over this trip here and he relishes fast ground. He has won from higher marks than today's on several occasions and he might just have another race in him over this longer trip. Royal Fantasy has had stacks of chances, and although also on a decent mark it looks like taking a bit more than a first-time visor to see him return to winning ways. Follow The Sun is back on the same mark as when landing a maiden handicap last season and is not without a chance, although he has probably shown his best form on softer ground. Rains Stops Play should get very competitive with conditions to suit and a handy enough mark, while Pretty Officer won over this trip at Yarmouth a couple of starts back and loves to hear her hooves rattle, so she cannot be discounted from 3lbs higher. Emperor's Well is the one for us.
