In depth

Verdict

Violette Szabo has yet to win in 19 starts and has never raced beyond 1m2f though she was staying on over that trip here last week. Le Bayou is another attempting this trip for the first time and is only slowly dropping in the ratings while winning hurdler Lady Shanawell is still a maiden on the Flat after 13 starts though a strongly-run race would play to her strengths. The front-running BALADIO is 0-18 but was on his lowest-ever mark when leading for a long way over 1m6f at Redcar on Saturday and can hang on here. Flower Power pops up every now and then and has a course and distance victory to her credit.
