POLISH WORLD can continue his recent good form by completing a hat-trick at the main expense of Mister Jingles and King's Sabre. Good or fast ground and this sort of trip are ideal for the Paul Midgley-trained pick, who was well clear of his rivals at Ripon when scoring decisively over a mile there last week, and looks capable of defying a penalty. Mister Jingles represents a yard going well enough, that of Richard Whitaker. All of his five career wins have come over 7f, including two over course and distance. He is 1lb lower than the best of those, but that was almost three years ago and he might just find a couple too good. King's Sabre was beaten in a claimer last time after landing a maiden handicap at Yarmouth, for which the assessor appears to have overreacted. He is up against it at the weights. Northern Flyer is back on a winning mark and has conditions to suit, and with a 12lb pull for three-and-a-half lengths with our pick then he has clear claims. However, we are not going to apply a literal interpretation of that and stick with Polish World.
