Favourites have won all four runnings of this event, but this is not quite so clear-cut and KAMES PARK is taken to edge home ahead of Chocolate Caramel and Slip. The key to the race could be what sort of gallop they go, because if this was to be made into more of a test of stamina, then Chocolate Caramel, who won a 1m 6f Catterick seller last time and has won over two miles, would have stronger claims. However, if they go at a mile-and-a-half gallop then as more of a specialist at the trip, Kames Park is more likely to have the edge. He also has 1lb in hand on Richard Fahey's charge than if this were a handicap, plus he has winning form over course and distance. Slip won a similar contest to this at Catterick last month and will appreciate this return to claiming company after struggling in handicaps since. However, he has a bit to find at the weights today. Dispol Diva won a selling handicap at Ripon earlier in the month but is another with plenty to find at these weights and preference is for Kames Park.
