        Verdict

        Guiseppe Verdi landed a competitive handicap last time and doesn't appear to have a lot to beat this afternoon. The best of his rivals could be Coconut Queen and Pigeon Flight. John Gosden's colt actually shared the first prize with Emerald Wilderness who put in a great effort in abetter race at York on Saturday. There should be plenty more to come from the top-weight and he looks the best option. Coconut Queen showed improved form in a Catterick handicap last time and has to be considered for the places. Meanwhile Pigeon Flight can be given a squeak on his Yarmouth maiden win, but you do have to ignore his recent poor effort at Pontefract. the rest make little appeal and so we return to Guiseppe Verdi who looks eet to waltz in.
