Unraced as a juvenile, Anglo Saxon is taken to make a belated winning debut as a three-year-old at the main expense of Ground Zero and Weet A Mo. David Loder is having a fantastic season and it will be a surprise if Anglo Saxon, who is an American-bred son of Seeking The Gold, does not know enough about the game to win first time up in this company. Ground Zero is becoming frustrating after nine career starts and deserves to win a race but is difficult to back with any confidence, while Weet A Mo was beaten off a mark of 62 in a Carlisle handicap last time and is readily opposable. The others make limited appeal in a race that should not take a great deal of winning.
