Esoterica gets the narrow vote here with Prince Evelith and Ivans Ride rating the main dangers. The selection has been in good form of late without winning and although disappointing last time out, he will relish the return to this faster surface and from a good draw he looks a value bet in an open affair. Prince Evelith rates the main danger but he just gave the impression the handicaper had caught up with him when third behind Shes Our Lass and he is passed over with this in mind. Ivans Ride has a good draw and would have a chance on his best form but the suspicion is he may just need the run after a 274 day abscence. Demelza is game and consistent and is sure to run his race while Dimelight has the ability to go close but does not always like to use it and with this in mind for the winner we return to Esoterica to small stakes.
