In depth

Verdict

William Blake is chasing the hat-trick in this contest and Mark Johnston's colt can win again, although Thunderstruck and Flying Time should give him a race. The selection was all-out to score last time but he looks progressive and he can make a winning turf debut. Thunderstruck beat Celtic Strand here last time but that did not look the strongest maiden in the world and although we expect her to run well again, she may find one too good. Flying Time ran well here last season but she is making her seasonal return here and she will need to have improved over the winter if she is to land this prize. Welcome Return may need the run, so we will nominate William Blake to score again.
