SALEROSA, West End Lad and Kabis Amigos all make only limited appeal in this poor contest, and we'll side with the first named. Ann Duffield's filly races under a penalty for winning over a mile at Ayr last week, and has proved that there can be some consistency at this sort of level. She's well drawn, and this race may not take much winning. West End Lad is a course and distance winner, along with Mr Jingles. However that was a year ago with some cut in the ground, but he won on faster going last time out at Nottingham after spending the winter and spring exclusively at Southwell. Drawn next door to Salerosa, it would be no surprise to see the two of them in a duel at the finish. Kabis Amigos has won once in nearly two years, and that was at Wolverhampton. The ability's there, but we see it all too rarely, and he's not got the best of draws. Support for Desert Hunter would be interesting; he's looking to follow up a win at Carlisle last week, which is unpenalised as it was an apprentices' race. However, we think the most likely winner is Salerosa.
