    Verdict

APPIER (NAP) was making his handicap debut and attracted strong support when scoring here last week, coming with a late burst and easily catching Gibside, who runs in the previous race. A 6lb penalty doesn’t look enough to prevent a quick double and he easily holds Coligone Kate on that run. Amzaan appeared to find 1m4f stretching her stamina at Wolverhampton but only weakened in the closing stages so should find this to her liking while Whitcliffe was staying on over slightly shorter on the latter track. Marbuzet may provide the main threat as he got no sort of run on his reappearance at Wetherby and wasn’t beaten far.
