English Spirit went close in amateur company here last month still looking for a first win while Sweet Bertie had been threatening before returning a beaten favourite over a shorter trip at Wolverhampton. MASQOOL was also racing over 7f when successful at this venue last time despite being hampered in the closing stages and James Evans’ charge looks worth sticking with having also scored over today’s distance in the past. Aiguillette won here last summer and will be sharper for a recent outing as will stablemate Raihaan.
