Verdict

HAL OF A LOVER has been gradually progressing and is ready to lose his maiden tag. A good second to Mojolika over 1m6f at Redcar last time suggests that a longer trip than this will be needed in the future but Beverley has a stiff uphill climb and Silvestre De Sousa will make good use of his stamina. Mayan Flight ran very well behind Dance For Livvy over the C&D last month and was obviously ill at ease on Southwell's Fibresand surface subsequently. Disturbia is out of a mare who won over this trip so the fact that she's stepping up to this distance for the first time should bring about some improvement and she can pose a threat.
