Caranbola is a standing dish here and Mel Brittain's tough mare looks sure to be in the firing-line again, despite a below-par effort over an extra furlong at York last time. NOODLES BLUE BOY is another that likes it here, however, and he's been in good form so far this season. The six-year-old is the selection as he had two of today's rivals, Another Wise Kid and Captain Scooby, behind when runner-up to Bedloe's Island at Redcar in May and connections will be confident of reversing that form with the winner on 7lb better terns. Pitkin's winning run came to an abrupt end behind Best Trip at Carlisle 10 days ago and he may be too high in the weights now but Ingleby Star is no forlorn hope from an inside draw and Whozthecat has been running well lately.
