Verdict

Areen Heart carried top weight to victory at Leicester last month and should go well again. Viscount Loftus was disqualified for hampering a rival when passing the post first in a four-runner affair at Chester last week and should also be in the mix but Katheefa faces a more difficult task than when narrowly beaten over 6f at Newcastle. MAGICAL EFFECT has slid back down the weights since scoring at Redcar last season and gave notice of a big run here with last week’s second at Chester. Ruth Carr’s charge can return to winning ways in this. Proud Archi has returned to a winning mark but Roaring Forties remains out of form.
